Carolyn Faye Pannell, 72

 September 15, 1953 – April 24, 2026

Carolyn Faye Pannell, 72, of Tupelo, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 24, 2026, surrounded by the love of the family she cherished so deeply.

Born on September 15, 1953, in Mississippi to the late Otis Carr and Mabel Cockrell Carr, Carolyn lived a life rooted in love, hard work, and devotion to others. She spent many years serving people with kindness, most recently at O’Charley’s, before her health began to decline.

Carolyn was the heart of her family. She was an amazing cook and baker whose kitchen was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting smell of something made with love. Whether she was sewing, cutting someone’s hair, or simply sitting and talking, she found joy in taking care of others. She never met a stranger—only friends she hadn’t gotten to know yet—and her straightforward, honest nature was one of the many things people loved most about her.

More than anything, Carolyn loved her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, David Turner; her brother, Roy Carr; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Turner and Jonathan Turner.

She is survived by her daughters, Pam Robbins and Carole Turner; her sister, Jane Brooks (Buck); her beloved grandchildren, Ashley Howell (Cody), Nathan Foster (Stormie), Treyvon Foster (Tiffini), Autumn Turner, Wesley Turner, Alyssa Garmon, Austin Turner, and Braden Turner; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Dawson Turner, Emma Boykin, Odin Foster, Gunner Foster, Bo Westmoreland, Everleigh Howell, and Paxton Howell, along with one precious great-grandchild soon to be welcomed into the world. She is also survived by her former husband, Lee Turner, and a host of nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close.

Carolyn’s life was a beautiful reflection of love given freely and unconditionally. She leaves behind a legacy of strong family bonds, cherished memories, and a home that was always open to those in need. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the love she gave will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
