Cecil Wayne Malone, Jr., 62

February 15, 1961 – November 13, 2023

Cecil Wayne Malone Jr, from Byhalia, MS, passed away on November 13, 2023, at the age of 62. He was surrounded by his loving family at his residence at the time of his peaceful passing.



Cecil was born on February 15, 1961, in Tupelo, MS to Patricia Ann Mason and Cecil Wayne Malone Sr. He grew up in a close-knit family that nurtured his values and character. Cecil had a strong work ethic from a young age and found his passion as a roofer. Throughout his career, he dedicated himself to his craft and took pride in providing quality work for his clients.

Outside of work, Cecil enjoyed spending time with his grandbabies who brought him immeasurable joy. He had a special bond with each of them and cherished every moment shared together. An avid outdoorsman, Cecil loved camping and exploring nature’s beauty. He found solace and freedom in the great outdoors. In addition to nature’s wonders, Cecil also had an affinity for rock music that resonated with his rebellious spirit.

Cecil will be dearly missed by his surviving family members and friends who were fortunate enough to have him in their lives. He is survived by his wife Teresa Carol Malone, daughters Crystal Edington, Amanda Jones (Kyle), Kristie Houston (Emmanuael), son Brian Malone (Sadie), and grandchildren Adelyn Pasco, Conner Edington, Liam Riggs, Kayden Olds, Zander Olds, Ciana Olds, Eason Olds, Katrina Horner, Kaydence Shears. Cecil is survived by his stepdad Bobby Mason. Cecil is also survived by his brothers Jerry Malone, and Larry Malone, sisters Debbie Bishop and Joyce McClarty.  Cecil was predeceased by his daughter Summer Malone, his parents Cecil Wayne Malone Sr and Patricia Ann Mason, and his sisters Delitha Irvin and Kathy Jarvis.

The services to honor Cecil’s life will be held on November 18th at Glenfield Funeral Home. A visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM. The interment will be at Enterprise Cemetery.

Cecil Malone touched the lives of many around him with his dedication to his work, his unconditional love for his family, and his zest for life. He will forever be remembered as a hardworking roofer who embraced the beauty of nature and cherished the blessings of family. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
