Crime Stoppers seek information on Elvis sign and tire thefts

 

Crime Stoppers of North East Mississippi is asking for the public’s help in two different cases.

In the first, Crime Stoppers and the Tupelo Police Department need your assistance in locating the person(s) responsible for vandalizing the signage at the Elvis Presley Birthplace Museum and Chapel sometime between May 30 and May 31. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-773-TIPS (8477).

In the second case, Crime Stoppers of Northeast Mississippi and the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department need your help with identifying the person, and/or the vehicle in the accompanying pictures.

Friday, May 28, at around 12:45 p.m. this vehicle, and the person in the pictures were captured on surveillance cameras taking away a set of four wheels, and tires.

The vehicle leaves with that set, and then returns about 10 minutes later, and takes another set of four wheels, and tires with a total value of around $3,000.

The vehicle possibly is around a 2008 model Honda Civic blue in color, with no tag displayed on it. The trunk of the car remained partially open while transporting each set of wheels, and tires.
