Daniel D. Stevenson, 71

January 14, 1953  –  June 7, 2024

TUPELO – Daniel Dewayne Stevenson, beloved husband, dad, and “Pop” completed his race and stepped into his REAL LIFE, the one we are all meant to experience with Christ, on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was 71 years old. Dan was born on January 14, 1953, to the late Mervin G. Stevenson and Billie Hood Stevenson in Memphis. He graduated from Overton High School in Memphis and attended Memphis State University. He married his wife of 47 years, Donna Carol Bunch, on August 14, 1976. He was unselfish, thoughtful, and generous with his time and talents, heading up the Helping Hands Ministry at

Central Church in Memphis and serving others in the men’s ministry and on numerous mission trips. Dan had an amazing career of 41 years with the U.S. Postal Service and the Postal Inspection Service in Memphis, retiring as Information Technology Manager. The Stevensons moved to Tupelo in 2015 and joined Harrisburg Baptist Church. Dan loved the outdoors, fishing, baseball, and running. He was on the cutting edge of technology for his time, building a TV and computer at home. He enjoyed writing code and troubleshooting most anything, especially cars and electronics. If he couldn’t fix it, it needed replacing. Dan was devoted to his family

and loved family outings, spending time with the grandkids and watching them in their activities. He will be dearly missed.
