Danny Miller “Barracuda” Moore, 70

November 27, 1952 – October 8, 2023

Danny Miller “Barracuda” Moore, age 70, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Tippah County Hospital surrounded by family. Danny was born on November 27, 1952 in Ripley to the late Clyde Columbus and Eugenia Hopper Moore. He attended Walnut High School and was employed in the trucking industry for 42 years before his retirement.

A Christian and United States Army Veteran, Danny enjoyed deer hunting, searching for arrow heads, classic rock music and working on cars. An avid Mopar fan, he found great pleasure in competing and watching drag racing. Later in life Danny could be found at Discount Auto Parts drinking a cup of coffee and talking shop with his friends.

Those left to share memories include his wife Wendy Moore of Wisconsin, one daughter Stephanie Gates, three sons Scottie Moore (Miranda), Keith Moore (Lauren) and Jacob Moore all of Ripley, two sisters Dale Butler of Memphis, Blone Mercer of Canaan, one brother Hugh White of Collierville, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and his good friend Eddie Brumley.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charley Moore and Mike White.
