Deborah Jean Whittington Burleson, 70, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo. She was born June 8, 1953 in New Albany to Carol and Violet McDaniel Whittington.
She enjoyed her job in the office of V.I.P. Luxury Seating. She loved spending time with her daughter, Allie and her family. She enjoyed reading the Bible and taking care of her flowers. She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was a dearly loved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed by all who loved her.
Funeral services will be on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at United Funeral Service with Bro. Dennis Smithey officiating. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Allie Ashmore and her husband, Nathan Ashmore; her grandson, Brody Ashmore; a brother, Mark Whittington; a sister, Linda Sue Clark; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy Burleson; an infant son, Dorian Burleson; and a brother, Gordon Whittington.
Honorary pallbearers will be her co-workers and employees of V.I.P. Luxury Seating.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at United Funeral Service.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.
