Doyle Wayne White, Sr., 71

February 4, 1952 – September 6, 2023

BELDEN – Mr. Doyle Wayne White, Sr., age 71, died Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at North MS Medical Center – Hospice Unit following an extended illness. He was born February 4, 1952 in Tiptonville, TN. He was one of thirteen children born to the marital union of Essery White and Ila Mae White. Doyle retired after thirty-three years of employment with American Commercial Barge Line as riverboat Captain. Doyle loved the Lord with all his heart. He read the Bible everyday studying from the beginning to the end. One of his favorite verses was John 3:16. He greatly enjoyed flowers, working on lawnmowers, fishing, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.



A celebration of life service will be at 3:00 PM, Saturday, September 9, 2023 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel with Bro. Drew Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Euclatubba Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday (9/9) from 1:00 PM to service time.

Survivors include his wife and mother of his children, Katherine Glass White of Belden; 2 sons, Doyle Wayne White, Jr. (Ginny) of Cordova, TN, and Paul Wayne White of Nettleton; 3 daughters, Stephanie Watson (Jason) of Tiptonville, TN, Tracy Burney of Pontotoc, and Ashley Wade (Devaki Taylor) of Pontotoc; 2 sisters, Shirley Sapp (Randy) of Saltillo and Linda Newman (David) of Olive Branch; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, 8 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Pallbearers will be Doyle Wayne White, Jr., Paul Wayne White, Connor Seth White, Steven Dale Franklin, Randy Ledford, and Devaki Taylor.
