Pontotoc- Stevie Moneyham, 61, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, surrounded by the people he loved most. Born on July 20, 1964, in McAlister, Oklahoma, Stevie was the son of the late Curtis and Julia Moneyham. Though his roots began in Oklahoma, his heart always belonged to Pontotoc, Mississippi, where he built a life centered on family, friendship, and countless cherished memories.
Stevie was a hardworking man with a deep love for the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were among his greatest passions, and he found peace and happiness spending time in nature. He was known for his free-spirited personality and honesty, which often left family and friends laughing because you never quite knew what he was going to say next. His quick wit, sense of humor, and genuine personality made him unforgettable to everyone who knew him.A true family man, Stevie cherished every moment spent with those he loved. He enjoyed dancing, giving gifts to his family, and creating memories that would last a lifetime. He had a generous heart and found great joy in making others smile. Stevie was also a devoted fan of The Andy Griffith Show, and he could often be found enjoying his favorite episodes and the simple values they represented.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, June 4, 2026, in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, and 10 AM-service time Thursday all at the funeral home. Burial will be at Cook Memorial Cemetery in Pontotoc Co. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed at 11 AM at hollandfuneraldirectors.com/livestreaming and will be archived thereafter.
Stevie is survived by his brothers, Timmy Moneyham, Ricky Moneyham, and Byron Moneyham; sister, Shelly Moneyham; daughters, Ashley Harris and Haley (Zach) McCoy; and his cherished grandchildren, Austin Harris, Aubrey Harris, Ashlyn Harris, Shaelyn McCoy, Burkley McCoy, Oakley McCoy and Rubi Cate McCoy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Lee Mooneyham and Julia Ann Franks Mooneyham.
