Etta Hills Farm’s regenerative Ag mission to be discussed at Feb. 19 Museum Moments
Etta Hills Farm is on a mission. Mark your calendars for Museum Moments on Thursday February 19, 2026, 12 noon as we hear “From Soil to Community: The Mission Behind Etta Hills Farm.”
This is a farming restoration effort that reflects both the land practices and mission behind this 800 plus acre operation. Established in 2021, this is grass fed, non GMO, local regenerative farm is slowly growing back depleted acres.
Reversing the damage of decades of poor soil management, this management process increases water holding capacity, reduces polluted runoff, increases plant diversity and supports healthier ecosystems that are beneficial to insects, bird, soil microbes and humans.
Etta Hills Farm is located near the Union and Lafayette County lines and has emerged as a beacon of regenerative farming in North Mississippi, transforming 800 acres into a model of regenerative success.
Founder Dr. Allen Williams, Ph.D, is a well-known expert in regenerative agriculture. A sixth-generation farmer his work in soil health, grass fed beef production and adaptive grazing system brings innovation and heritage to the field.
Stewardship of the land, a key challenge faced by today’s farmers and consumers. What it means to be caretakers of God’s creation is part of Etta Hills Farm’s mission. Farming has moved away from the local small farms that, prior to World War II, were more regenerative than they are today.
Having a harmonious role in our relationships with the use of the land and how we “till and keep” as caretakers of creation will have a positive impact the future of farming and food production. Attendees will learn tips and practical advice on proven regenerative farming methods and the faith-based approach at Etta Hills Farm.
Williams earned his B.S. and M.S. in Animal Science from Clemson University and his Ph.D. in Livestock Genetics from LSU. He spent 15 years as a faculty member at LSU and Mississippi State University before transitioning to full-time regenerative consulting and farming in 2000.
The products include Grass Fed Beef, Pastured Pork, Pastured Poultry, and Pastured Eggs and Grass Fed Lamb.
New Albany Garden Club will host a light lunch beginning at 11:30.
