Fantastic Turnout at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County Back-to-School Fair -

Baptist Memorial- Union County held its annual Back-to-School Health Fair event on Saturday, July 22 on the hospital campus. Attendance was again excellent this year.

Organizers told NEMiss.News that, before the event, they had prepared 400 goodie bags with back-to-school supplies, information and other items to hand out to kids. Within an hour of the event’s start at 9am, they’d given them all away and had to make more. There were over 600 attendees at last year’s event and the organizers believe attendance was even better this year.

As always, Baptist Union County’s community partners turned out for the well-planned and executed event. Mother Nature provided a beautiful, if slightly warm, day. The parking lot held vehicles bringing visitors from several surrounding counties. Healthcare organizations, emergency responders, safety-oriented agencies and food suppliers joined Baptist’s employees to get area youngsters off to a good start for the upcoming school year.
