RED RIBBON WEEK

Students at New Albany Elementary School recently participated in Red Ribbon Week activities. Red Ribbon Week is designed to raise awareness of the dangers of tobacco, drugs, and alcohol so that students can avoid using those products.
Red Ribbon Week is also a time for students to commit to making healthier choices. During their health rotation, students completed RAT (Reject All Tobacco) activities and crafts. Students in grades 2-5 made “keys” and wrote their future career on them to help design a bulletin board with the theme “Your Future is Key So Stay Drug and Tobacco Free.” Younger students helped create ‘footprints” for the “Stomp Out Tobacco” mural.
