Inez Davis Campbell, 86

October 17, 1937  –  October 20, 2023

CHESTERVILLE – Inez Davis Campbell- 86, died Friday, October 20, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born on October 17, 1937 in Baldwyn, MS to the late Jim and Della Adams Davis.

Inez was a beautiful soul and lived a fruitful life. She married the love of her life, Carl Campbell, on August 21, 1954. They lived 69 wonderful years together raising their beautiful family. Inez enjoyed making a home for her family. She was known for her cooking and especially her famous fried chicken and homemade biscuits. She loved to paint and was an avid landscape artist. Her passion for reading and love for learning grew into an in-home library, where she read and taught the children of her family everything from the Bible to reading, writing, and arithmetic. Her favorite pastime was being the loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. She was the definition of a homemaker/housewife.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 PM on Monday, October 23, 2023 in the Sadie M. Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo. Visitation will be from 11 AM to service time. Burial will take place at Macedonia Cemetery. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed at 1 PM at hollandfuneraldirectors.com/live-streaming, where it will be archived. Inez is survived by her husband of 69 years, Carl “Joker” Campbell; daughter, Kim Smith (Terry); son Ricky Campbell (Tessie); Grandchildren, Rick Campbell (Kayla), Anya Feathers (Chris), Jason Grant, Joseph Smith, and Nick Smith; Great grandchildren, Chloe Foster, Abby McElwain (Kade), Austin Grant, and Emilia Smith; Brothers, Leroy Davis and Johnny Davis; Sisters, Flossie Joyner, Louise Ramey, Ann Haydock, and Donna Santucci, and an abundance of nieces, nephews, and cousins that she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Sisters, Lucille Lomenick, Marie Hill, Debbie Haynes; and Brothers, James Luther Davis and Charles Ray Davis.

In lieu of flowers a donation in honor of Inez mat be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
