Jack Brown Wilkins, Jr., 56

September 1, 1967 – January 30, 2024

Jack Brown Wilkins, Jr., passed away on January 30, 2024, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born September 1, 1967, in Tupelo, Mississippi, to Jack Wilkins, Sr., and Constance (Connie) Eudy Wilkins. He was a graduate of Tupelo High School and South University. He received his MBA from Middle Tennessee State University. Jack had an extensive career (30-plus years) in the home-building business and, at the time of his passing, was the National Director of Purchasing for Green Brick Partners, Inc.
Jack’s hobbies included working on cars and target shooting, and he mastered both. He loved sports and always looked forward to fall and spending time in The Grove and cheering for the Ole Miss Rebels in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. In addition to his hobbies, he had a tender heart for both people and animals who were suffering and volunteered extensively with several affordable-home charities and animal rescue groups (most recently with Animal Rescue Corps). Jack considered helping others one of the greatest blessings in life.

Jack was quite simply, but so importantly, a good man. He was respected and loved by many friends, colleagues, and family members. He loved his wife and parents beyond measure. His support of Alicia during the loss of her parents was the epitome of sacrificial love.

Jack continued to give to others in death as he had in life by being an organ donor. He was also a participant in Alzheimer’s research in an effort for a cure to be realized for those affected by this cruel disease, to include his loved ones.

Jack was a member of the United Methodist Church, and , unbeknownst to most, he could carry a tune beautifully.

Survivors include his wife, Alicia; his parents, Jack Sr and Connie Wilkins; his aunt and uncle, Virginia and Jimmy Tyler, as well as many beloved cousins, friends, and colleagues. Cohle the Cat also survives his favorite human.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity or Animal Rescue Corps (with headquarters in Washington DC and an operations center in Lebanon TN)

In Jack’s memory, please consider being an organ donor. “Don’t take your organs to Heaven because Heaven knows we need them here.” And rescue a precious dog or cat or two.

Revelation 21:4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
