James Meredith is guest speaker at May 18th Museum Moments

James Meredith will be the speaker for the May 18, 2023 Museum Moments at the Union County Heritage Museum. The well-known civil rights leader, writer and speaker says he is on his third and final mission as part of The Bible Society.

“I promised God I was going to every county in Mississippi and encourage Mississippians to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and focus on Good and Righteousness leading to Moral Character Uplift and Rebuilding Families,” he said. He has created a Bible Society as part of this mission.

“The Bible Society’s mission is to create and inspire a religious awakening for the purpose of solving problems incurred by broken families in black communities.”

His mission includes making people aware that the Ten Commandments are part of a good effort in raising children and living moral lives. He will also hold a book signing as part of his visit to New Albany.
