Jeff McManus to speak at Luncheon with Books, January 19th

Luncheon with Books will be held Tuesday, January 19, at the Jennie Stephens Smith Library in New Albany, Jeff McManus Director of Landscape Services at the University of Mississippi will review his book Pruning Like a Pro.  New Albany Garden Club will hostess a light lunch beginning at 11:30 AM and Mr. McManus will begin the review at noon.

Jeff McManus is the DIrector of Landscape Services at national award-winning Ole Miss campus. He has a bachelor’s degree in Landscape and Ornamental Horticulture from Auburn University and is a Certified Arborist. Since coming to Ole Miss in 2000, Jeff has put his knowledge and creativity to work and seen the results. Newsweek and the Princeton Review are only a couple of the publications to recognize the Ole Miss campus, naming it one of the top higher education most beautiful campuses in the nation. Jeff is a firm believer that you can fall in love with a space at first sight, and he and his team work hard to make sure faculty, staff students and visitors do just that.

Jeff is married to his wife Suzanne. They have 4 wonderful teenage boys: Sam, Nate, Josh and Mark, plus they have 3 entertaining dogs.

In his book, Prune like a Pro, Jeff shares his top pruning techniques that can be applied anywhere. Whether you’re a beginning gardener, new to Mississippi, or an old hand who’s looking for some new ideas, you will enjoy this book.
