Jerry Morgan, 80

June 27, 1943  –  January 17, 2024

Okolona- One of Okolona’s most beloved and respected citizens, Jerry Morgan, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024 at NMMC-Tupelo from complications of cardiac issues. Jerry was the husband of Susie Morgan and father to Stephanie Morgan Zibby (Mike) and Amy Morgan Myers (Tommy) and grandfather to Michael Zibby, as well as a father to Susie’s children Jenny Russell (Dustin) of Okolona, MS and Joey Crane (Mandy), and grandfather to Emma Kate Russell, Suzannah Russell, Abbie Crane, and Olivia Crane, all of whom he loved as his own. He was a professional pharmacist, the Owner of Okolona Drugs and Gifts, and Westside Pharmacy in Tupelo. A member of Okolona Presbyterian Church, Jerry was very involved in the community and his kindness and generosity were known far and wide in our area. Jerry was born on June 27, l943 celebrating his 80th birthday then.

A Life Celebration Service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from the Sanctuary of First Baptist Church in Okolona with his pastor, Rev. H.B Miller, officiating, and words by Rev. Dr. Randy Lewman and Steve Holland. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Faith Mausoleum at Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 PM – 7 PM on Monday, January 22, 2024, at Holland Funeral Directors-Okolona Chapel and from 1 PM – service time on Tuesday at First Baptist Church-Okolona.
