Judith “Judy” Gullick, 83

September 11, 1940 – January 8, 2024

Judith “Judy” Gullick, of Myrtle, MS, a devoted homemaker and retired business owner, passed away on January 8, 2024, at the age of 83. She was born on September 11, 1940. Judy’s warm and nurturing nature touched the hearts of many during her lifetime. Her loss will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Judy had an immense love for her family and dedicated herself to creating a loving and welcoming home. She delighted in preparing delicious meals for her family and friends.  Her recipes will forever be remembered as a testament to her love and generosity.

In addition to cooking, Judy enjoyed birdwatching, especially when it came to tending to and admiring the many hummingbirds that would visit the feeders, she set out for them. She found solace and beauty in observing these delicate creatures fluttering amidst nature’s splendors. When she wasn’t tending to her feathered friends, Judy could often be found engrossed in a captivating book. Reading was not only a source of knowledge but also a form of relaxation for her.

Judy possessed an adventurous spirit and loved exploring new places whenever she had the opportunity to travel. She sought inspiration from different cultures and embraced the diversity of our world. Her curious nature allowed her to appreciate the intricacies that make each corner of this globe unique.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents Ollie Lindzy and Janet Miller as well as her sister Laura Smith. She is survived by her husband of 65 years Samuel “Sam” Gullick, as well as her five children, Linda Terraciano (John), of Montana, John Gullick (Barbara) of Myrtle, Patricia Bradford of Potts Camp, Marsha Robbins of Myrtle and Jessica Gullick of Myrtle.  She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on January 11, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Glenfield Funeral Home in New Albany, MS.

A graveside service will follow on January 12, 2024, at 2:00 PM in Glenfield Memorial Park in New Albany, Mississippi.

Judy leaves behind a legacy of warmth, genorisity and the profound impact she had on the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. May her soul find eternal peace, and may we find solace in the memories we shared with her. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Judy’s honor may be made to the Jennie Stephens Smith Library in New Albany, MS.
