Kathleen Ford Crowell, 86
March 27, 1940 – May 22, 2026
Kathleen Ford Crowell, 86, former resident of Ashland, passed away peacefully at her home in Grandbury, Texas, on Friday, May 22, 2026.
A graveside service honoring Kathleen’s life will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 10 AM in Ashland City Cemetery, with heartfelt personal reflections to be shared by her son-in-law, Rev. Scott Ewen.
Born on March 27, 1940, in Carlisle, Texas, to the late Henry and Naomi Hughey, Kathleen was a graduate of Ardmore High School in Oklahoma and was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Kathy was a lady who found joy in life’s simple blessings. She loved being in the kitchen, where she expressed her love through the meals she prepared so well for those, she cared about. Her home was always touched by her special gift for decorating, making every space feel warm and inviting. She loved getting lost in a good book, traveling to new places, and making memories along the way, but nothing brought her greater happiness than the love of her family. Her greatest joy was the time spent with those she held dear, and the love she poured into her family will forever remain in their hearts.
Those left to cherish her precious memory include her daughter, Debbie Ewen (Scott) of Atoka, Tennessee, two sons, Paul Ford of Ashland and Danny Ford of Grandbury, Texas, four grandchildren, Hope and Carter Jordan Ford, Ashley Netishen (Paul), and Jessica Ewen, and three great-grandchildren, Emily, Lucas, and Dylan Netishen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Crowell, and seven siblings.
Though she will be deeply missed, Mrs. Kathy leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories that will be lovingly carried on by all who knew her.
