New Albany MS Shared Medical services act

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the House of Representatives voted to pass House Resolution 107, The Sergeant First Class Sean Cooley and Specialist Christopher Horton Congressional Gold Star Family Fellowship Program Act, introduced by U.S. Representative Trent Kelly (R-Miss).

This legislation establishes a twelve month, fully-funded fellowship in a congressional office of choice, in either a district, or Washington, D.C., office for the siblings, spouses, or children of service members who have lost their lives in service to our Nation.

“When our service members make the ultimate sacrifice, there is no award, no amount of money or no program that can ever make their lives whole again,” Representative Kelly said. “But this program gives the families left behind a chance to participate in our great democratic process at the national level.”

Congressman Trent Kelly is a member of the House Armed Services Committee, serving as the Ranking Member of the Military Personnel Subcommittee. Rep. Kelly also serves on the House Agriculture Committee. This is his third term.
