Kirby Wadell “Dale” Robertson, 72
April 14, 1951 – February 26, 2024
Kirby Wadell Robertson, known as “Dale” and “Speck” to his family and friends, passed away peacefully Monday, February 26, 2024, in the comfort of his home surrounded by family.
Funeral Services honoring Mr. Robertson’s life will be at 11 AM, Friday March 1, 2024, in the Heritage Chapel of the Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Onnie Ralph and Bro. Doc Shelton officiating. Visitation will be from 5 PM until 8 PM, Thursday evening February 29, 2024, at the Ripley Funeral Home. Burial will be in Plesant Hill Cemtery in Falkner.
Born April 14, 1951, in Tippah County, Mr. Robertson was the son of the late William Clyde and Modena Tapp Robertson. He received his education from Falkner High School and was married to his beloved wife, Patricia “Pat” Garrett Robertson, who preceded him in death on May 14, 1980. A hard worker with a strong work ethic, Mr. Robertson was a farmer and logger all his life who spent his time caring for his cows, driving a tractor, growing beautiful vegetable gardens every year, and being a great steward of his Master’s handiwork. He never sat still and was always busy, staying active in the Tippah County Soil and Muddy Creek Drainage District.
A Christan and member of Plesant Hill Baptist Church, Mr. Roberston enjoyed attending Crossroads Baptist Church, while worshiping his Lord and listening to God’s word. He was a Godly Man who led others by example. He had a passion for being outdoors, gardening and producing vegetables to share with others, trail rides, horse pullings, keeping up daily with FOX News…he loved FOX News. Above all, Mr. Robertson greatest joy came from his family who he highly favored and there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for them. His life was simple as he always believed in treating people right, hard work, and taking care of his family.
Those left to cherish memories include two daughters, Wendy Bryant (Junior), and Brandy Montgomery (Tim), one son, Kirby Robertson, two sisters, Connie Ralph (Junior), and Machelle Kirk, two brothers, Curtis Robertson, and Clyde Ray Robertson (Grace), and three grandchildren, Mackenzie Davis (Austin), Katherine Grace Arnold (Cullen), and Tyler Montgomery.
He is preceded in death by one sister, Peggy Walker, two brothers, James and Delton Robertson, and two granddaughters, Haley Montgomery and Montana Robertson.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Magnolia Hospital, Center Well Home Health, Home Care Hospice, and Dr. Dwaila South for the love and care shown to them and Mr. Robertson.
