Lee County sheriff charges man with stealing vehicle, hitting individuals with it and fleeing
On June 19 at around 21:30 Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a business on Hwy. 371 North regarding a stolen vehicle and a hit and run.
When deputies arrived on scene, victims and witnesses reported that after assaulting a female, Aaron Ellis Osborn stole a vehicle from the parking lot of the business, striking two individuals and causing serious injuries before fleeing the scene in the stolen vehicle.
While looking around Lee County for the suspect and stolen vehicle, deputies were dispatched to a business on Industrial Road in Saltillo regarding a suspect breaking into vehicles in the parking lot and assaulting an employee.
When deputies arrived, they took Aaron Ellis Osborn into custody.
Aaron Ellis Osborn was booked into the Lee County Jail and held for investigation. During the investigation numerous items of evidence were collected and on Monday June 21, Aaron Ellis Osborn was charged with the following:
Two counts of aggravated assault manifesting extreme indifference to life
Two counts of burglary of an auto
One count of carjacking
One count of misdemeanor domestic violence
Aaron Osborn is currently on probation with MDOC for felony taking of a motor vehicle. He is also out on bond for robbery. His bond was set at $250,000 and has since been held without bond by the district attorney’s office due to prior charges.
This investigation is ongoing and there could potentially be more charges to come.
