Linda Poe, 63

Tupelo – Miss Linda Poe, 63, died Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born December 8, 1962 to Leonard Poe and Hazel Taylor Poe. Linda was a graduate of Shannon High School and continued to further her education taking college courses. She was a Human Resource Manager employed by Independent Furniture Manufacturing for 37 years before her health began to fail.
Linda enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach, and growing her lovely flowers. Although she never married or raised children of her own, she loved her fur babies, Scooter, Maggie, Mercedes, and Spookie. She always dressed to the nines, had her hair fixed and makeup on before stepping out the door. She cherished her family members and spending time with them, but most importantly, she was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord.
A celebration of life service will be at 11 AM, Saturday, August 15, 2026 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with her great nephew, Bro. Jeremy Abbott officiating. Burial will follow at Old Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 PM – 7 PM and Saturday from 10 AM to service time.
Survivors include her three sisters Ruby Stegall of Pontotoc, Carolyn Tutor of Saltillo, and Martha Andresen (Andy) of Biloxi, MS; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and 2 special friends, Brenda Baggett and Lisa Bierman of Tupelo. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, James Poe and Gary Poe; 1 sister, Geanette Beasley.
Pallbearers will be Austin Carnathan, Scott Carnathan, J.P. Carnathan, Kenneth Greer, Benjamin Riddle and Michael Riley.
