Marjorie Jane Threldkeld died Wednesday, December 6, 2023. She was the daughter of  Mildred Moore Sheffield and Philip A. Sheffield, the wife of Jim Threldkeld, and the mother of Mimi McGraw (Robin), Susan Kimbrough (Jim), and Sally Threldkeld. She was the grandmother of Jim McGraw (Allyson), Mary Jane Cook (Chris), Ned McGraw (Marianthi), Philip Kimbrough (Meagan), Chris White (Taylor), and Matt White. She was the great-grandmother of Jacey Malone (Kaleb), Lillian McGraw, Susan Louise Cook, Martha Beth Cook, Harper McGraw, Henry McGraw, Ellie White, Merritt White, and Oliver Kimbrough. She’s also survived by her brother, Dr. Philip Sheffield (Cindy).



Jane attended Itawamba Junior College where her father served as the first President and received both a secondary and an elementary degree in education from Mississippi State University.

Jane was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years. She taught Children’s Sunday School, Bible School, and served on various committees.

As a dedicated educator, Jane taught at Verona High School, Natchez Junior High, Rankin Elementary, and Carver in Tupelo.

Jane was well read, widely traveled, and a member of numerous professional, civic, and social organizations throughout her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to many.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2023 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of the service. A family graveside service will be held at Tupelo Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Jim McGraw, Ned McGraw, Philip Kimbrough, Chris White, Matt White, and Chris Cook.
