Mary Ruth Stewart, 55

Saltillo–Mary Ruth Stewart, age 55, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023 at the North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born November 1, 1967 in Tacoma, Washington to George and Madeline Barger. She was married to Dan Stewart, and they shared 23 ½ years of marriage. For many years Mary assisted Dan in their business, Stewart’s Tire, running the front counter and keeping records. She loved growing her flowers and tending to her animals, especially her favorite cats.
Mary leaves behind her husband, Dan Stewart of Saltillo; five children, Ashley Arthur, Kenny Arthur, Jerry Dean Sims, Tabitha Marie Sims, and Brandon David Sims; two step-children, tiffany Cobb and Danielle Norwalk; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild; her sister, Madeline Montoya; and her half-sister, Julia Horn.
