N.A. fans celebrate Ole Miss Sugar Bowl victory in N.O.
The Rebels did what they had to do New Year’s night in New Orleans to earn Ole Miss football immortality.
They whipped Oklahoma State 48-20 in the Sugar Bowl. The victory more than made up for a disappointing post-season last year.
Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly completed one of the best seasons ever by an SEC quarterback with 375 total yards against the Cowboys from Oklahoma. Kelly passed and ran for a total of 4,542 yards this season.
The Rebels’ “Landshark” defense limited Oklahoma State’s offense, one of the best in the nation, to just 303 yards passing.
A sizeable delegation of Ole Miss fans from New Albany were on hand to celebrate the Reb’s big win in the Superdome.
