NAFD called out to New Albany First Baptist Church
An automatic fire alarm system summoned three fire trucks to the New Albany First Baptist Church late Thursday morning.
Fire department equipment and crews arrived at the church on East Bankhead St. at 11 AM Thursday morning, Sept 5.
There was no fire.
According to New Albany Fire Department (NAFD) Assistant Chief Mark Whiteside, “Upon arrival NAFD crews determined that the alarm was triggered by a malfunctioning duct detector.”
Engine, ladder and rescue trucks responded due to the occupancy, type, and size of the structure.
