NAFD quickly extinguished a fire at 904 Sunset Road

A New Albany Fire Department (NAFD) crew quickly extinguished a fire at 904 Sunset Road Friday evening before there was extensive damage to the house.

The 911 call regarding a fire in the bathroom of the house came at about 6 p.m.

NAFD firemen quickly extinguished the fire with a water extinguisher to minimize water damage. The fire was contained in the bathroom with only light smoke in the house. Firemen used special fans to clear smoke from the house.

The fire was listed as accidental.

NAFD crews finished their work well before 7 p.m.

There were no injuries.
