Nancy Lee Rayburn, 84
December 28, 1941 – July 9, 2026
TUPELO – Nancy Lee Rayburn, 84, Tupelo passed away July 9 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born December 28, 1941 to Dock and Artie V. Raper. She worked as a sewer at Hancock Fabrics and as a waitress at the Ramada Inn. She enjoyed sitting around and telling stories with her family. She also enjoyed going dancing at the DAV and American Legion.
Visitation will be from 5 PM to 8 PM Monday, July 13, 2026 and from 1 PM to 2 PM Tuesday all at Holland Funeral Directors – Tupelo Chapel. Services will be at 2 PM Tuesday, July 14, 2026 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jim Varnon officiating. Private Entombment will be in the Chapel of Faith Mausoleum at Lee Memorial Park. There will be no service at the graveside.
Nancy is survived by her companion of 7 years Jacky Horton: her children, Greg (Tina) Guinn, Jeff (Tammy) Guinn, Steve (Kay) Guinn, Geraldine (Larry) Moyer; grandchildren, Ashley (Shane) Stanford, Mandi Guinn, Joey (Brittany) Guinn, Josh (Madison) Guinn, Stormy Stutts, Kim (Edward) Terry, and Eric Smith; great-grandchildren, Jaden Guinn, Jaxton Guinn, Kase Gladney, Drew Stanford, Colby Stanford, Ozzy Guinn, Ryann Eakes, Kade Strickland, Gatlin Stutts, Brittany Scalf; great-great-grandchild Logan Scalf; two brothers, Gary and Judy Raper and Bill and Inga Roper; one sister Rena Evans; and several nieces, nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Verlen M.L. Rayburn, son Danny Rayburn, grandchild Christopher Guinn, sisters Vicky Traffensteadt, Inetta Jo (Boots) Petree, Louise Thompson, Vernell Collins, and brothers John, Hobert and Adell Raper.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. The family would like to give special thanks to the North Mississippi Health Services Hospice staff.
