New Albany is being cited on many “Top List of…” lists

New Albany’s aggressive marketing efforts are resulting in considerable attention from a genre of websites that deal in lists — lists of places, things, foods, etc. The content is usually shallow and the advertising and links too numerous to count. Be warned: you are likely to find yourself in an endless labyrinth of links completely unrelated to the subject that first catches your eye.

Nevertheless, they do bring attention our way. The most recent New Albany listing we’ve seen is on something called popsugar.com — no, we’ve never heard of it before. New Albany is listed as one of “21 Small Towns You Should Visit on Your Next American Road Trip,” and the picture is one of Railroad Street before the rails were taken up to create Tanglefoot. Their picture is arty and interesting.
