New Albany students prepare for MS BEST Robotics competition
New Albany, MS- Several students from both New Albany Middle School and New Albany High School will be meeting over the next five weeks, during and after school, to prepare for the MS BEST Robotics competition. Students will work as a group on robot building, programming, and marketing presentation. Mississippi State University is the HUB for the competition, which will be held on the floor of Humphrey Coliseum, on October 1, 2016.
Mississippi BEST is designed to inspire and interest students in engineering, science, and technology through participation in an exciting sports-like technology contest. The BEST competition motivates students by challenging them to build a remote-controlled robot that accomplishes a defined task within a competitive setting. A mentor and a school coach guide student teams through the engineering process.
