The Genealogy Room could not renew the Ancestry.Com database due to budget cutbacks. Through the Mississippi Library Commission we did still have access to the Heritage Quest database for the Genealogy Room. However, through the generous donation of M.E. Margaret Swain for her sister, the library was able to renew the Ancestry.Com database.

Be sure to check the library’s website to see what is new at the library for children, adults, and movies.

Friends of the Library will sponsor Luncheon with Books on January 16, at 11:30 AM. Frank Madden will review the book Andrew Jackson and the Miracle of New Orleans: The Battle That Shaped America’s Destiny. A light lunch will be provided beginning at 11:30 AM.
