The New Albany School Board presented Melanie Anderson with a Certificate of Appreciation at the monthly school board meeting held on Monday, April 10. The certificate and recognition was in honor of School District Administrative Assistant Board Clerk Appreciation Week that is celebrated in April. Anderson serves as Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent for the New Albany School District.

New Albany Chief of Police, Chris Robertson hosted a meeting for the Ms Police Chief’s Association (North Ms Chief’s). They met at noon on February 16th at Taylor’s, for fellowship and discussion. Topics included issues that will be coming up in the next legislative session, minimum standards in training, possible law changes that would come into effect in July, and new drugs and or problems that other Police Departments are dealing with.
