Reggie L. Hastings, 64, resident of Union County, passed away unexpectedly at Baptist Hospital Union County on Friday, January 5, 2024.



A Memorial Service honoring the life of Mr. Hastings will be Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 2PM in the Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral and Cremation Care with Bro. Doc Shelton officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 12PM until time of service in the Memory Chapel of New Albany Funeral and Cremation Care.

Born December 14, 1959 in Memphis TN, Reggie was the son of the late Lee Edgar and Velma Ruth Eaton Hastings and attended Georgian Hills School in Memphis. A man who will be remembered for his strong religious faith as a Christian and owner of R & B Appliances, Reggie was very mechanically inclined, a wonderful provider with a kind giving heart, who shared his deep work ethic with his kids and grandkids preparing them for life’s challenges. A “Prankster”, Reggie enjoyed life, dancing, singing country and gospel music. He often could be found watching westerns and devoting time to his beloved wife, Barbara Hastings who survives.

Those left to cherish his memory include, two daughters, Tanya Dixon (Jimmy) and Angela Ferguson (Randy), two sons Tony Hastings and Billy Williams, five sisters, Charlotte Saint, Mary Sharp, Shelia Carper, Donnie King and Joyce Easterling, one brother, Ricky Hastings, nine grandchildren, Kiera, Hayly and Gage Dixon, Dayton and Austin Hastings, Daniel and Harlie Stone, Hunter Goforth and Saydee Pruitt.

Reggie is preceded in death by one son, Waymon Lee Hastings and one sister, Barbara Broadway.
