Samuel Douglas “Doug” Kizer, 68, of Guntown, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2023, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born on July 5, 1955, in Oklahoma, to JB Kizer and Barbara Oliver Kizer. Doug was a dedicated Electrician, known for his skills and unwavering commitment to his craft.



Doug is survived by his loving wife, Camille Watson Kizer, who stood by his side through thick and thin, sharing a lifetime of cherished memories together. He leaves behind his sister, Teresa Paine (Allie), and his brother, Carl Smith, both of whom held special places in his heart. Doug’s legacy extends to numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom were touched by his kindness and wisdom.

He was preceded in death by his parents, JB Kizer and Barbara Oliver Kizer, his brother, Terry Kizer, and his loyal companion, his dog, Sammy. Doug’s heart was generous and compassionate, extending even to the furry friends in his life.

Samuel Douglas Kizer will be remembered for his unwavering love, dedication to his craft, and his willingness to help others. His memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

While we mourn his passing, we take solace in knowing that Doug’s spirit lives on through the selfless act of organ donation. In death, he continued to give the gift of life to those in need. His memory will live on, a testament to a life well-lived and a heart that knew no bounds. Rest in peace, dear Doug. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
