Samuel Edward Terry, 58

October 28, 1964  –  October 18, 2023

OKOLONA – Samuel Edward Terry was born on October 28, 1964 to Linda O’Neal and Sherman Terry in Lorain, Ohio and went home to our Lord on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. Sam lived an enjoyable life and was a man full of joy. Sam enjoyed the life outdoors, riding his Harley, and deer hunting. He was an expert marksman. His favorite pastime was talking and spending time with his grandchildren, who affectionately called him Papa.

There will be no formal services. The family invites the public to a Celebration of Life Visitation from 2 PM to 4 PM on Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors (662 840-5000). Burial will be private to the family. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to serve their friends.

He is survived by his mother, Linda Thompson; sons Mykel Terry (Tiffany), Jacob Terry (Tiffany), bonus son Braulio Jaime, and daughters Christina Chaney, and Alyson Terry; 5 sisters, 1 bonus brother; 5 grandsons, 4 granddaughters; and a slew of nieces and nephews, and his bonus son, his dog Jack.

He is preceded in death by his father, Sherman Terry, and bonus dad Ben Thompson; the mother of his children, Wanda Chaney Terry; brother Myles Terry, and brother-in-law Johnny Patterson; and nephews Joe Elliott and Chance Hubert.

In death, his giving nature will give sight to two individuals.
