Scotty Lewis Wren, 54

September 10, 1969  –  January 15, 2024

Bentonville, Ark./Tupelo – Scotty Lewis Wren, 54, died Monday, January 15, 2024 in Bentonville, AR. He was born on Sept. 10, 1969, in Tupelo to the late Jimmy Wren and Judy Smith Wren Ferguson. Scotty attended Tupelo Public Schools before graduating from Itawamba Agricultural High School in 1988. He also attended Mississippi State University, where he met some of his very best friends. After school and being married, he enjoyed a successful career in the transportation industry before becoming an accomplished artist. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, and watching football with his buddies anytime he could. Most of all, he enjoyed time with his family. He often stated that his favorite thing to do was to watch football in his recliner with his little girl sleeping on his shoulder and his wife and son by his side. Later in his life, he was given his most treasured possession, his Golden Doodle, Lokie, by his son. He loved that dog as much as a man could!

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 11 AM in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo Chapel. All are invited to attend and share your prayers in memories. His brother, Dr. Eddie Wren will officiate, and his brother, Mike will assist in the service with the sharing of their times together. Scotty is survived by his wife, Vallery, of 26 years and his two children, his son, Nicklaus, 25, and his daughter, Riley, 13, all of Bentonville, AR. He is also survived by his mother, Judy Ferguson, and his stepfather, Ted Ferguson of Mantachie; two brothers, Michael Wren (Lisa) and Eddie Wren (Stacy) and their children Sam, Meri Hobbs, Eli and Noah; his grandmother, Johnnie Wray, and one step-brother, Jay Ferguson.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Wren, and his grandmother, Tarlie McCombs, as well as his uncle, Gary Smith.

His closest friends will serve as honorary pallbearers. As he would say, his #1, Mike Lothorp, Ricky Tudor, Barry Replogle, Mark Henderson, Mike Malone, Patrick Ellis, and Dan Fortner.
