Seven Union County Volunteer Firefighters achieve certification
Seven Union County Volunteer Firefighters have received their volunteer level 1 certification recently by completing their skills at the Mississippi State Fire Academy.
This 80 plus hour course is taught by certified instructors from New Albany/Union County. Candidates are given a written test, and then sent to the Academy to put what they’ve learned to the test. All did so with outstanding competency and skill.
What this means for our citizens here in the county, is that their firefighters are now trained not only to more safe, but also more skilled and up to date on methods of firefighting. We are proud to see this commitment in our county.
