Steavan Walker Latham, 69

August 17, 1954 – May 23, 2024

On Thursday, May 23, 2024, Steavan Walker Latham, 69, resident of New Albany, MS, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by friends and family, following an extended illness.

Mr. Latham was born August 17, 1954, in New Albany, MS, to the late Walker and Fairy Crumpton Latham, a graduate of New Albany High School and was employed for many years as a truck driver for Clarke Beverage Company.

A Christian and member of First Baptist Church of New Albany, Mr. Latham took great pleasure in riding horses and living the western lifestyle. Described as a man of few words, Mr. Latham’s greatest enjoyment came from the time spent with his grandchildren, children, and his beloved wife Mary Latham who survives.

In addition to his wife, loving memories will continue to be shared by two sons, Jonathan Howard (Gwen) of Fulton, Josh Latham of New Albany, one sister, Sandy Kent (David) of New Albany, four grandchildren, Gracey Williams, Maggie, Katie and Addie Howard.

Mr. Latham is preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Latham.
