Tallahatchie Riverfest's workers have pulled it all together, so "Come on Down!" -

Several crews were working around downtown New Albany Thursday arternoon and evening, setting up rides, stages and other equipment for Tallahatchie Riverfest 2015.

From the Tanglefoot Plaza westward to the left bank of the Tallahatchie River, New Albany people and professional crews from near and far were hard at work. The city was preparing to host one of the top festival events in Mississippi.

When their work is completed, all that needs to be done is for you to grab your lawn chair and come on down to the river!

Dick Heddle, who lives south of Tampa Bay in Florida, was working Friday to set up the Riverfest ferris wheel near the Bankhead Street bridge across the Tallahatchie River. The ferris wheel is owned by a Cedar Rapids, Iowa company.

Workers for one of the several food vendors at Riverfest were putting their stand together Thursday.

Lights are all checked as Armstrong and crew were about ready to raise the stage assembly to its full height.

Billy Armstrong, owner of Magic Sound Productions of Tupelo, watched as John Harris and John Cates checked lights on a light bar assembly before raising the stage roof to its full height Thursday afternoon.

With the stage roof hoisted up to its full height the Magic Sound crew started putting together the sound equipment for free, live performances Friday and Saturday nights during Riverfest 2015.
