Tracy Leigh Harris, 63

August 1, 1963 — September 1, 2026

Tupelo – Tracy Leigh Harris, 63, passed away into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. She was born on Thursday, August 1, 1963, to Billy Ray Jones and Dianne Jones.

Tracy had a heart for the simple joys of life, especially the people she loved. She cherished the time spent with her family and friends. Tracy was happiest when shopping or gathered around the table playing a game of Rummy, Spades, or Sequence with those she loved. She had a huge soft spot for animals of all kinds and also enjoyed the beauty of the beach.

Tracy loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Eggville Free Will Baptist Church in Tupelo. Before retirement, she was a dedicated and hardworking food service manager with Tupelo High School and Rankin Elementary School.

She is survived by her son, Jarrod Greer (Candice Greer); one daughter, Leighann Harris (Tanya Harris); two granddaughters, Hazel and Olive Greer; mother, Dianne Jones; brothers Jason Jones and Brad Jones (Valerie Jones); niece, Katlynd Jones; nephew, Hunter Jones; and one sister-in-law, Ann Jones, wife of the late Cliff Jones.

Tracy was preceded in death by her father, Billy Ray Jones; her brother, Cliff Jones; her grandparents, Herbert and Dolly Roberts; and Jack and Ruby Jones.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Pegues, Tupelo.

A memorial service honoring Tracy’s life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues Funeral Directors with The Reverend Doctor Gerald Gann and Reverend Michael Hutton officiating.
