Victory Church goes ‘down by the riverside’ for a little fun

Victory Church held a free family event Saturday afternoon in downtown New Albany.

The event was held in the grassy, partially shaded area on Main Street immediately next to the Tallahatchie River bridge that spans Bankhead Street/Old Highway 78.

Enjoying bright sunshine and temperatures in the mid 80s, several dozen children and adults enjoyed free musical entertainment, free food and free soft drinks.

Adults visited as children played on temporary, inflatable playground equipment.

Participants could register without charge for drawings for free bicycles and other items that were given away during the afternoon.
