Walter Dwayne Winkles, 45

Walter Dwayne Winkles, 45, life long resident of Tippah County, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 13, 2022 at his home.

A graveside service honoring the life of Mr. Winkles will be 5 PM, Friday, August 19, 2022 in Shiloh Cemetery in Tippah County with Bro. Doc Shelton officiating.

Mr. Winkles was born Dec 31, 1976 in New Albany to Patricia Wilbanks Winkles of Tippah County and the late Walter Frank Winkles. He received his education from Ripley High School and was employed as a factory worker throughout most of his life.

A Christian, Mr. Winkles had a larger than life personality and lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed nothing better than sitting back with a cold drink and listening to music with his family and friends. His children remember him for his famous cornbread and biscuits that he would cook for them and his passion for fishing and hunting. Mr. Winkles never met a stranger and although we feel heartache we will be inspired by his easy going attitude and fun spirit.

In addition to his mother, those left to share memories include one daughter, Shania Winkles(Ryan Stroupe) of Hatchie Bottom, three sons, Justin Winkles, Dillon Holliday, and Skyler Holliday all of Ripley, four brothers, and seven special grandchildren.
