William “Bill” Brunette, 85

October 29, 1938 – February 29, 2024

William “Bill” Brunette went to his Heavenly Home February 29, 2024. He passed away at his home in Henderson, TN with his daughters by his side. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Willa Dean Wise Brunette, his parents Peter T. Brunette and Mary Gergen Brunette, and his son Bill Brunette, Jr.
Bill was born October 29, 1938, in Rhinelander, WI, the youngest of five children. He graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1957 and enlisted in the United States Navy in January 1958. He served our country for over 9 years. He was a member of Chewalla Primitive Baptist Church.
Not long after joining the Navy, he met a young Southern belle named Willa Dean. They fell in love and married the next year. They remained together in love until his Southern belle passed away in 2017. During that time, they had four children, ten grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, as well as providing a home for foster children. That young love spawned many souls.
Bill had various careers and hobbies throughout his life, but he said his greatest privilege and joy was the 17 years he took care of his beloved Willa Dean after a series of strokes left her partially paralyzed. He devoted the rest of her life to taking care of her every need. They are together forever now, well and whole again.
Bill leaves behind his three daughters, Patti (Jim) Glaspy, Becky (Jeremy) Chapin, and Bonnie (Levi Booth) Ferzacca; ten grandchildren, Adam (Jennifer) Hook, Kevin Hook, Amanda Brunette, Jessica Chapin, Dalton Brunette, Jacob Brunette, Austin Brunette, Elizabeth (Justin) Luzader, Heather Ferzacca, and Justin Ferzacca; ten great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He also leaves behind three sisters-in-love, Carol Wise Rushing, Judy Wise Hannah, and Barbie Wise Burns, who were more dear to him than if they had been blood related.
