William “Ronnie” Farr, 66

April 22, 1957 – March 10, 2024

William “Ronnie” Hayward Farr was born April 22, 1957 to the late Roosevelt and Hazel Farr in Pontotoc, MS. He departed this life on March 10, 2024 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.



Ronnie accepted Christ an early age at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Pontotoc, MS. He loved playing the drums for gospel groups, playing baseball, and watching all sports on television. He worked in the furniture industry for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents; five brothers: Sonny Farr, Billy Farr, Paul Wayne Farr, James Farr, and Tony White; two sisters: Carolyn Sanders and Margaret Farr; three brothers in law: Anthony Black, Al Sanders, and Charles Foote; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Ronnie leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Hattie; one daughter Tammy Hooper of Tupelo, MS; one stepdaughter April Williams of Atlanta, GA; three stepsons: Reginald (Shauna Feagin) Crump, Rodney Crump of Pontotoc, MS, and Christopher Crump of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren: Jaylon, Alandria, and Jalerian Hooper, and a host of step grandchildren; five sisters: Helen Black of Indianapolis, IN, Farrie Armstrong and Marilyn Foote of Pontotoc, MS, Lillie (David) Hilliard of Ecru, MS, Mary Ingram of New Albany, MS; four brothers: Kenneth (Teresa) Farr of Pontotoc, MS, Kevin Dale (Ada) White, Terry Lynn (Cassandra) White, and David White all of New Albany, MS; seven sisters in law: Debra Farr of Tupelo, MS, Vera Farr of New Albany, MS, Lisa Farr of Nettleton, MS, Susie (James) Rutherford of Memphis, TN, Marcy McKnight, Barbara (Teddy) Ezell, and Ruby Hamilton all of Pontotoc, MS; two brothers in law: Barry (Yasuka) Hamilton and John (Tina) Hamilton of Pontotoc, MS; one aunt Marlene Farr of Racine, WI; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be Friday, March 15, 2024, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Payton Mortuary. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 1:00 PM at New Salem MB Church in Pontotoc, MS.
