Willie Helen “Bonnie” Hill Jones, 83

April 2, 1940 – March 27, 2024

New Albany – Willie Helen “Bonnie” Hill Jones, 83, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Union County Health and Rehab in New Albany. She was born April 2, 1940 in New Albany to Thomas Lacy Hill and Myrtle Annie Camp Hill. She retired as the manager of The Gardens. She was a member of Lighthouse Church in New Albany.
She loved the spring time and the beauty of God’s creation that it brought. She enjoyed the flowers, watching the hummingbirds, visiting the Smokey Mountains, baking and playing Hay Day. She had a servant’s heart and loved helping others where she could. She enjoyed helping with VBS.
She was faithful to share Christ with everyone. Fondly known as “Nana”, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend; and will be missed by all who loved her.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until funeral service time at 2:00p.m.at United Funeral Service. Bro. Don McCutchen, Bro. Mark Bishop and Bro. James Wells will officiate. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be at Vista Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband, William Jones; two daughters, Sondra Worthy and Virgie Worthy Palmer (Jimmy); three sons, Jack Worthy (Lacy), James Worthy (Rhonda) and Don McCutchen (Debra); a step son, Jeff Jones; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; the fathers of her children, Butch McCutchen and James Worthy; a daughter, Lisa McCutchen Williams; and a grandson, Luke Worthy.
