Mississippi Businessman Johnny Morgan dies in airplane crash

Mississippi business man Johnny Morgan, of Oxford, MS, died today in an airplane crash.

Morgan was President of Morgan-White Insurance, a major player in the insurance industry in Mississippi and surrounding states for many years. He served as a Mississippi State Senator from 1983-1991.

Morgan was piloting the plane, which crashed near Fayetteville Arkansas, in Washington County.  Morgan, born in 1947, was 76 years old and was alone in the plane.
