Brittany Renee Henry, 36

April 15, 1990April 15, 2026

Fun. Loving. Outgoing. Vibrant. Words that only begin to capture the light she carried—qualities that made a lasting impression on every room she entered and every life she touched.

That radiant light belonged to Brittany Renee Henry, who departed this earthly life far too soon and unexpectedly in an automobile accident on Wednesday, April 15, 2026—on her 36th birthday. Though her time here feels heartbreakingly brief, the joy, laughter, and love she gave so freely will echo in the hearts of those who knew her for years to come.

Funeral services honoring Brittany’s life will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home, with visitation from 11 AM until the time of service. Bro. Doc Shelton will officiate, and burial will follow in Unity Baptist Church Cemetery.

Born April 15, 1990, in Memphis, Tennessee, Brittany is the daughter of Vicki Adams Henry and the late William Raymond Henry. She began her education in the Memphis Public School System before transferring to East Union, ultimately finishing from Pine Grove High School. Throughout her life, Brittany wore many hats, but she was perhaps best known for her compassionate work as a Home Health Nurse with Cooks Adult Day Care in New Albany, Mississippi—a role that perfectly reflected her caring heart and desire to help others.

A Christian and truly the life of the party, Brittany had a spirit that was contagious. She found joy in the simple yet meaningful things—caring for her cats, tending to her garden, riding four wheelers, and sharing stories about the cows she “helped” take care of, though her fiancée, Gordon, would be the first to admit that she mostly just enjoyed watching them. She had a true farm girl’s heart, always drawn to the outdoors, fresh air, and the freedom of being on the go. Her laughter was unmistakable, her presence unforgettable.

Above all else, Brittany’s greatest love was her family. Being “TT” to her nieces and nephews was a role she embraced with pride and joy, always finding ways to spoil them and make them feel special. As a mother, her children were her world—her greatest purpose and deepest love. While, like all of us, she was not without her flaws, Brittany’s heart was genuine, her love was real, and she was deeply cherished by those who knew her best.

She leaves behind a legacy filled with laughter, unforgettable memories, and stories that will be told for generations. Those left to carry on her memory include her mother, Vicki Adams Henry; her daughters, Abby Henry and Zenia Wilson; her sons, Jayden Henry (Joshlynn Zavala), Zackary Hayes, and Zaylen Wilson; her fiancée, Gordon Garrison, her brothers, Dylan Henry and Dalton Henry; her grandmothers, Mrs. Hermie Henry and Mrs. Ann Blackwell, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father.
