Memphis PD seek public’s help after remains of three children are found
On March 8, 2026, a caller reported finding a possible human skull near in a wooded area in the 3400 block of Ridge Meadow Parkway near Ridgeway Road in the Hickory Hill area of southeast Memphis. This began a weekslong forensic search in this area looking for further remains and evidence. About 170 people from local, state and federal agencies took part and cadaver dogs were also deployed in the search. The cadaver dogs helped to locate additional remains near a drainage pipe. In all, investigators recovered bones that appear to belong to three children between the ages of 3 and 7.
Memphis Police Chief Cerelyn Davis says the remains may have been there for several years. Police are working on identifying the remains and investigating the circumstances around the children’s deaths. Memphis PD has determined that these remains are not connected to any children reported missing in Memphis. It is possible that the children came from outside of Memphis.
“Somebody knows where these children have come from” Davis told reporters. “Someone knows of missing children that we have discovered in this area”. Davis urged anyone who may have additional information to come forward. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 901-528-2274.
