Pam Weeden, 56
May 6, 1970 – June 27, 2026
Pamela Denise Coats Weeden, known lovingly to family and friends as Pam Weeden, passed away on June 27, 2026, at the age of 56, surrounded by her precious family. She was born on May 6, 1970, in Pontotoc, Mississippi, and lived a life marked by love, devotion, and a gentle spirit that touched everyone who knew her.
Pam was the daughter of Malcolm Everette Coats and Alma Sue Stone Coats, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son, Brian Weeden, and by her siblings, Cathy Betts, Gary Coats, and James Coats. Though her passing leaves a deep void, her life remains a lasting testimony to faith, family, and the tender care she gave so freely to others.
She is survived by her loving husband of thirty-one years, Brian Keith Weeden, who shared with her a long and devoted marriage built on love, partnership, and steadfast commitment. Pam pledged her love to Keith and she spent over three decades honoring their pledge. They celebrated the good times and held tightly to each other through the bad times. Their love story lives on through the lives of their children and grandchildren. She also leaves behind her children, Ally Weeden, Anna-Clare Weeden, Wesley Weeden and his wife Krislyn, Rayleigh Mooneyham, and Holly Mooneyham. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Ryker, Paisley, Skylar, Ellie, Joanna, Jasen, Bentley, Saylor, Bralon, Westyn, Brexleigh, and Theo, each of whom brought her great joy. She is further survived by her sisters, Cindy Gryder, Rebecca Mooneyham, Orethia Ward and her husband Mike, and Tammy Vige; her brothers, Donnie Coats and his wife Becky, Dewayne Coats and his wife Inge, and Brad Coats and his wife Lori; and one brother-in-law, Billy Betts.
Pam graduated from high school and earned a degree in Childcare from ICC. She devoted her career to childcare, where her compassion and patience became a blessing to countless families. Over the years, she nurtured and cared for hundreds of babies, and she never regarded one child as more important than another. She simply loved. She did not know the meaning of the words step, half, foster, adopted, or biological when she met a child. All she knew was love, and she gave it freely and without hesitation to every little one placed in her care and her life.
Her work was more than a profession, for it was a calling that reflected the very heart of who she was. Pam possessed a loving, passionate, and kind spirit that made others feel seen, valued, and safe. She had a true mother’s heart, and she carried that heart into every room she entered. Her presence was comforting, her smile was warm, and her care was genuine. She had a way of making people feel that they mattered, and that gift will be remembered always.
Pam was a Christian, and her faith was an important part of her life and she loved worshiping at her beloved church Canaan Apostolic. She lived with a quiet strength and a deep trust in God, and those knew her saw that faith reflected in the way she loved her family and served others. Even in the face of life’s hardships, she remained a source of encouragement and hope. She was, in every sense, a cheerleader for those she loved, always ready to rally them on the fight.
The earthly world has lost a true mother’s heart, but Heaven has gained a faithful servant whose love will continue to echo in the lives she touched. Pam was loved by so many and will be missed by all. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and countless others whose lives made better by her kindness. Her life was a beautiful example of devotion, compassion, and unconditional love, and her influence will not be forgotten.
Services to honor her life will be Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Canaan Apostolic Church, 12019 MS-336, Thaxton, MS, 38871, beginning at 11:00 AM with a visitation one hour prior to service, and also a visitation on Monday evening, June 29, 2026, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM also at the church.
