Brenda Gay Bishop Morgan, 69

January 10, 1954 ~ December 18, 2023 

Brenda Gay Bishop Morgan, 69, passed away on December 18, 2023, at North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice. Born on January 10, 1954, to Robert and Effie Cooper Bishop, Brenda’s life was a testament to love, family, and compassion.

Brenda is survived by her devoted husband, Terry Morgan. Her memory will forever be cherished by her daughter, Maggie Morgan (Joseph Andreano), residing in Boston, MA, and her son, Matthew Morgan (Stephenie), of Valmeyer, IL. Brenda shared a special bond with her sister Judy Bishop Hooton, and was a loving sister to her brothers Buddy Jake Bishop (Linda) and Butch Bishop (Karen).

Brenda’s legacy extends to the next generation as she leaves behind a beautiful tapestry of love in her grandchildren: Maxwell Andreano, Violet Morgan, Gareth Morgan, Remi Morgan, Nigel Morgan, Callum Morgan, and Edwin Morgan.

While Brenda’s passing brings sorrow, her reunion with those who preceded her in death—her parents, Robert and Effie Cooper Bishop, her son Jonathan Drew Morgan, her sister Eloise Barnes, and her brothers Leonard Bishop, Bobby “Pete” Bishop, and Merle Bishop—brings comfort.

Brenda’s life was defined by simple joys, and she found immense pleasure in reading, watching British and Japanese TV programming, and exploring new places. Her heart was open to the love of animals, especially her cat Aria.  She also cared for stray cats in the neighborhood, whom she cared for with unwavering compassion. Brenda was known by all to be incredibly selfless and resilient.

Above all, Brenda’s greatest joy was found in the laughter and presence of her cherished children and grandchildren. Her love for them was boundless, and her legacy will continue through the memories and values she instilled in each of them.

A private memorial service will be held to celebrate her life and the impact she had on those fortunate enough to know her. Associated Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements and to support the Morgan family during this difficult time.
